Gong Shanglong    Professor, Doctoral Supervisor 

        Prof. Gong Shanglong is the former president of Chongqing Jiaotong University. He has been engaged in scientific research concerning Structure (Bridge Structure, Concrete and Prestressed Concrete Structure, Steel Structure, Construction Technology of Structures) and Construction Materials (HPC, Microstructure analysis of Construction Materials). He ever studied in Kansas University of America for three years.

Prof. Gong has published over 60 papers in national and international journals, to name a few, Anti-Cracking Shear Calculation of Inclined Section of Partially Prestressed Concrete Beams with Tendons, Model Experiment of Construction Process of Long-Span Steel Truss Bridge, The Method of Microstructure Analysis of Cement Paste. Besides, he compiled two textbooks.

His outstanding performance in the field of bridge engineering has won him six ministerial or provincial Science Technology Progress Awards. He owns one state patent of invention.


      Jiang Erlan   Professor

Prof. Jiang is Deputy Secretary-General of Chongqing College Student Management Society, Chief of Students’ Employment Committee, and Vice Standing Director of Magazine of Students’ Employment, Expert Estimator of Students’ Employment, consultant of Chongqing Admission Society and contract researcher of China Management Institution.

Prof. Jiang has been engaged in scientific research concerning college students’ management, college students’ career guidance. She has published over 20 academic papers, compiled more than ten textbooks, and undertaken over 20 ministerial or municipal research projects. For all of these achievements, she has won 1st and 2nd prize for Chongqing Municipal Teaching Excellence, as well as ten other prizes for teaching and academic research excellence.


Yang Dujun    Professor, Master’s Supervisor


      Professor Yang was graduated from Faculty of Construction of Chongqing University. He is now Dean of ICCJU, who is overall in charge of administrative work and academic research work, specifically responsible for personnel, finance and foreign affairs.

He is also Municipal Alderman of Chongqing, Academic pacesetter of State Higher Vocational Education of Communication, member of Advisory Expert Committee of Sichuan Composite Society, member of China Mechanics Society, member of China Civil Engineering Society, Standing Director of Chongqing Mechanics Institution, and Director of Chongqing Education Society of Higher Learning.

Professor Yang successfully directed or participated the design and construction of Bridge and Bridge on No. 105 State Highway, Jiangxi Wuning Bridge, Neijiang Tilan Arch Bridge. In the year of 1999, appointed by Chongqing Municipal Government as the leader of experts, he investigated and analyzed the causes of failure of Qijiang Rainbow Bridge. After the closing of the case, his work was publicly commended by Chongqing Municipal Government.

Except for those achievements, Professor Yang has also received numerous awards and honors for his outstanding work. He won two 2nd Prize of Chongqing Science & Technology Progress Award, the 3rd Prize of Sichuan Science & Technology Progress Award, the 2nd Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award by The Ministry of Communications, and the 2nd Prize of Teaching Excellence by Sichuan Education Commission.

His monograph include: Structural Behaviors of GFRP/RC Girders with FRP Laminites ( ICCE Proceedings, Gold Coast, Australia), Fatigue Test and Research of Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthen by FRP Laminites ( ICCE Proceedings, Brisbane, Australia), and Design of Bridge Anti-collision System. He is one of the editors of Bridge Engineering, The Manual of Bridge DesignArch Bridge.


Cheng Changhua    Professor, Master's Supervisor

        Professor Cheng was graduated from Qinhua University, and received Master’s Degree in 1988. He is now Party Secretary of ICCJU, Academic Pacesetter of Chongqing Municipality, and member of Chongqing Civil Engineering Society, member of Chongqing Hydraulic Engineering Society, member of Chongqing Communication Education Society of Higher Learning, member of China Development Strategy Society, and member of Chongqing Development Society as well.
        He has been engaged in academic research concerning Hydraulic Structure Engineering, Harbor and Harbor and Waterway Engineering, Hydraulics and River Dynamics. He has undertaken or is undertaking many S & T Research Projects which includes Slope-garden Construction in Chongqing City,  The Model Test Research on Guanyintan Reach in the Variable Backwater Zone of the Three Gorges Project, Hydrodynamical Effect on Collapse in Reservoir Banks, Investigation of the Characteristics of Multi-phase Rupture Destructive Action and Emulation on the Regulating Structures at Mountainous Rivers, The Regulation and Research on Sediment in the Reservoir Rear of the Three Gorges Project, etc.





      Gerhard Mathias  Professor


Gerhard Mathias was born in Kassesel, German in 1939. From 1958, he studied at Kassesel University, majoring in Arts Design. In 1966, he became a professor teaching Arts Design in Kassesel Fine Arts Academy. From 1970 on, he has been Lifetime Professor there. In 1985, he began to be the director of German Plane Design Association. In 1999, he was appointed as Honorary Professor by German Academic Exchange Center (DAAD).

All the years, he has been engaged in research and practice in Art Design, CIS Design, Industrial Design, Poster Design, and Creativity Training. At the same time, he has been dedicated in spread his ideas in Fine Arts around the world. He ever visited the USA, Russia, Poland, Portugal, Finland, Thailand, Hungary, Egypt, and Czech. Prof. Mathias, as visiting professor, ever gave lectures in England, Russia, Armenia, Georgia, etc.

In 2002, he was nominated as Specially Appointed Professor and Academic Pacesetter of Arts Design by Chongqing Jiaotong University. In 2004, invited by Chongqing Municipality, he attended Summit Conference of Chongqing Image Design. In 2005, he, being international judge, participated in the “Posters Design Competition of Asia Pacific Cities Summit”
